GUPTILL-BAKER, Almena Jane of Goldsboro and Boston

Almena Jane was the daughter of Stilman and Susan Guptill. She was born in 1842 and married my 2nd great-granduncle Edward Baker in 1866 in Boston. Edward and Almena also had a residence in Winter Harbor. The book "Fond Memory" by Myra Smith Earl mentions Almena (Aunt Minnie) frequently and describes Edward as a darkly handsome, lazy, extravagant, charming good for nothing husband. This makes me want to find out more about him (we know virtually nothing).

Myra Smith Earl included a lovely photo of Almena in her book and mentions other photos. Is there anyone out there who knows where Almena's photo are today?

I would also love to find a photo of her husband Edward Baker. There must be one or two somewhere. They had no children.

Thank you,
