I'm trying to find information about this couple, married c. May 14, 1812, Bristol, ME (ref. Johnston's "Bristol Marriages" and Family Search Record Search "Maine Marriages"); specifically, who are Nancy Carter's parents? I have an old pedigree saying that her parents were John Carter and Betsey Richards (d. of Erastus Richards and Betty Doty Sherman), but I haven't been able to document this connection.
