I am searching for information on an Ann McDaniel, granddaughter of Samuel Boggs of Warren Maine. Ann is the recipient of a legacy in the will of Samuel Boggs, made 3 April, 1764, in which Samuel gives the names of his children, the married names of these women being:
Motley, Rax and Burns.
Ann McDaniel shows in the will, but no McDaniel female with a surname of McDaniel shows as such.
In the text of the History of Warren, Maine the family information states that Samuel's child, given as #6 on the listing, married and moved to Philadelphia. This could be the mother of the McDaniel granddaughter mentioned. My ancestor is a Robert McDaniel, born August 24, 1756 in a location stated in a Pennsylvania history as a small lumbering village near the Penobscot falls, Maine. This location could be incorrect and be on another river in Maine. Robert came to Philadelphia with his parents or father, and was apprenticed in Philadelphia to a Quaker named Joseph Longstreth. Robert appears in one record in Philadelphia, as a witness to an 1882 will there. Robert settled in Pennsylvania in adulthood.
I am seeking Robert's parents and possible siblings. If anyone can direct me to information regarding this Ann McDaniel or the un-named Boggs female listed in the Samuel Boggs will probated in Lincoln County, I would be most grateful to hear from you.
