You asked about Moses Rowe. IÂ’m sending you the following on
the chance that the long list of MosesÂ’ children may provide
some names that fit into your searches. His first two
marriages were in Danville, but the third marriage was
probably in Hampden or Orrington. My grandfather James Swett Rowe lived his entire life in Orrington.

Moses was the son of Jonathan Rowe b. Dec 1751 and Bethany
Parsons, both from Gloucester, m. 4 May 1775 in Gloucester.
This Jonathan had moved with his father Jonathan to New
Gloucester about 1770 and then to Danville ME about 1780.
Both my grandfather (JSR) and the notes in “filerz.txt” on
the Androscoggin Historical Society site claim that the
senior Jonathan was the son of Stephen and Elizabeth
(Curney) Rowe, but the Gloucester VR says “Jonathan Rowe
jr.” m. Rachel Parsons Dec. 1950 and was the father of
Jonathan b. 1751, which throws some doubt on the connection
with Stephen.
