Folks,

I would like to extend my WEBB line back in time if possible. My records suggest she was one year old at the time of the 1790 Maine Census so I suspect one of the heads of household there would be her father. But there are a lot of choices.

I do not know where Betsy was born. But her husband John was born in Winthrop and was listed there in the 1790 census. John MITCHELL's younger brother was married in Troy c1809. And the first confirmation that John and Betsy lived in Troy is the birth of their daughter Harriet in Troy in 1813. The net of this is that I am not certain where Betsy was born and where her family came from. But it seems likely that she came from a town near either Winthrop or Troy.
