Hello,

I haven't visited this Board in a while, and see I really haven't mentioned my RICE ancestors before. * I'd just like to offer an FYI that Ashbel / Ashabel RICE and Percissa / Persis KNIGHT were my ancestors. They were from Marlboro, MA, and after the Rev. War they moved their family to "Maine." For 10 yrs (~1790-1800), they lived in Digby, NS, and then moved over to Lubec, ME. They are the ones who started the families in Lubec and Eastport, ME.

My great-great-grandfather, Charles W. RICE, was born there in 1850. He moved down to Winchester, MA, ~1870, and then married there. He and his wife had 2 daughters in 1876 and 1878. The 2 daughters must have vacationed in Lubec, as that is probably how they met George "Sanford" KIDDER, b1870 ME. The oldest daughter married him.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)
