Funeral Tuesday For Mrs. Emma Horsfield
Mrs. Emma Jane Horsfield, 68, wife of Harry Horsfield, Sr., and resident of this city for nearly 50 years, died this morning at her home, 52 Oak Street.
She was born in England, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Goddard) Green. She was a member of Christ Episcopal church and was active in various organizations of the church.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, Clifton and Harry, this city, and Edward, Gardena, Calif.; seven daughters, the Misses Lillian and Elizabeth Horsfield, Mrs. Oscar Janson, Mrs. Kenneth Libby, this city, Mrs. John Cowgill, North Kennebunkport, Mrs Raymond Chicoine and Mrs. Philip Glaude, Saco; 16 grand children; two brothers, Edward and WIlliam Green, England, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 from Christ Episcopal church. Friends may call at the church after 10 Monday morning.

Harry Horsfield, Journal Mechanical Superintendent Dies
Harry Horsfield, 56 of 53 Grahm St. Biddeford, a Biddeford Saco Journal employe since 1930 when he joined this papers's circulation department, died early this morning in a Biddeford Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Horsfield was born in Biddeford, Aug 23, 1911, the son of Henry and Emna Green Horsfield and attended Biddeford schools. He graduated from Biddeford High School and later graduated from the Mergranthaler Linotype School in Brooklyn, N.Y. At the time of his death he was this newspaper's mechanical superintendent.
He was a member of Dunlap Lodge, AF and AM. Biddeford and was a past member of that organization: a member of Adab Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Biddeford, he was its worthy patron for several years. Horsfield was also a member of Christ Episcopal CHurch, Biddeford and over the years had healed all offices in the church. At his death he had been a senior warden for over 20 years and for the past three years had been an honorary clergyman.
Surviving in addition to his father, Biddeford are his widow, Doris Barlow Horsfield, Biddeford: two daughters, Mrs. Marry Morissette, Biddeford and Mrs Muriel Lambert, Dorchexter, Mass: Two Brothers Clifton, Biddeford, and Theodore Gardena, Calif. seven sisters, Miss Lillian Horsfield, Mrs. Oscar Janson, Miss Elizabeth HOrsfield and Mrs, Elaine Libby, all of Biddeford. Mrs. John Cowgill, Arundel, Mrs Phillip Glaude, Newport News, Va and Mrs Raymond Chicone, Saco. Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted and Christ Episcopal Church, Biddeford at 11am Thursday. A requiem eucharist will be sun by rev. Gerald Hurtt, priest in charge, and interment will be in the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery Biddeford.
Friends may call at Christ Church from 1 to 9 tonight and tomorrow night.
