The information I have about John Roger Wheeler is the birth certificate on one of his children, Laura Wheeler b. 27 NOV 1858 New Orleans, LA.

"Mr. John Roger Wheeler a native of Maine aged thirty four years residing in the Parish of Plaquemine who hereby declares that on the twenty-seventh of November last (Nov. 27th 1858) was born in a house situated on Port Street a female child named Laura Laurence Wheeler from a marriage with Bridget Mullins."

John Roger Wheeler married Bridget Mullins Apr 1855, New Orleans, LA.

Laura married John Edward Johnson
She died 18 Mar 1937, New Orleasn, LA
Laura and John did not have children.

Per the census', his daughters state that he was born in Massachusetts.

John Roger and Bridget's other children:
John Roger Wheeler, Jr.
B. about 1855, Louisiana
D. about 1856, Louisiana

Mary Ellen Wheeler
B. about 1856, Louisiana
D. 11 Jan 1928, Louisiana
She married John J. Foster
Together, Mary Ellen and John had six children:
Mary, John, Irene, Lillian, Francis Joseph & Francis Leslie

Another bit information, they lived in Burrwood, Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana c. 1850's where John tended the light house and coal depot. He and his son both died there and I am told they were also buried there.

I'd like to find out more information about John Roger; where he truly comes from, his parents, siblings, etc.
