I can find record of Maggie born approx. 1874 and marrying John W Brown, but can't find info on either of their parents. Maggie was of mixed race, and we've heard she was of black and indian descent. Maggie's maiden name was Ogden. I'm trying to find Maggie's partents, and John Wesley Browns parents.


The only Ogden I've found born in 1874 was a Mary M. Ogden, with parents of Frederick Ogden and Ellen Ogden, but I don't know if this Mary M. could be the Maggie whose parents I'm looking for.

Anyone with history on the Brown's or Ogdens in Calvert County, MD please reply.

These would be relatives of Carl and Nancy Brown of Calvert County. Nancy Brown (aka Essie Brown) was the daughter of John Wesley Brown and Maggie Brown.
