Orphaned children of George were Ann b abt 1856, Mary b abt 1857, and Sarah b abt 1864. The children lived with their maternal grandmother Rebecca Chance Turner in 1870. The children were placed under a guardian Phillip W Downes in 1873. I show George as the son of John Young Williamson who had moved to Dorchester Co by 1840. In 1850 George was working as a farmhand in QA Co as a labourer. I also show George served in the Civil War, would like to hear from anyone researching George.
