Susannah M. Essich Miller married Jacob Essig in the 1860s. She remarried after Jacob's passing.

Jacob Essig is the son of Adam Essig. Jacob emigrated to the U.S. with his mother Salome around 1843. Adam emigrated in 1839 (arriving at the port of Baltimore on the bark "The Strabo").

Jacob and Sussannah are buried at Krider's Church Cemetary.

Adam and Salome are buried at Leister's Church Cemetary in Mexico (Carroll County).
