It is my research experience that German children are named after the first name of the sponsor, so John would be named John and not necessarily John Adam. I'm not sure who John L. Livingston is, but I do have a lot of research information about John Livingston b. 3 Aug 1733, documented in the Muddy Creek Church records. There is also a book, "Livingston-Rogers Genealogy Vol. 1" by Malcolm Rogers Livingston that lists the descendants of John Livingston, b. 3 Aug 1733.
In the "Records of Marriages and Burials in the Monocacy Church in Frederick County Maryland and in the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in the City of Frederick, Maryland 1743-1811" by Frederick Sheely Weiser is this "obituary" under "1776":
1. March 10. Sibylla Wahhagin, born in Germany and had 3 husbands. With the first she came to this land and lived in matrimony 4 1/2 months. The second was Loewenstein, by whom she had one son and four daughters and with whom she lived in matrimony 13 years. The third was Henrich Webhage with whom she had one son, who died, and two daughters, still living. They lived together 36 years, 5 months. She leaves behind 52 children and grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Died of asthma March 9, aged between 67 and 68 years.
I think this Sibylla was J. Bernard Liebenstein/ Loewenstein/Livingston's first wife.
