Carroll's Manor was a 10000 acre tract also called Carrollton surveyed for the children of Charles Carroll, the Settler, in 1723.Later additions enlarged it to 12,373 acres. It is approximately bounded by the Monacacy River on the east, on the west by Tuscarora Creek and an old road called the Ballenger Creek Pike, on the south by the Potomac river and on the north by Ballenger Creek. This info is from George Ely Russell's 148 page paperback titled " Moravian Families of Carroll's Manor, Frederick County Maryland.
