Looking for information on John Burke and his family. On the 1860 census he is listed as age 68 with Sarah Burke age 25(I do believe she should be around 35) Samuel age 17, Ephriam age 15, Mary age 13, Huldah age 11, Levi age 9 and Margaret age 7. John is listed again on the 1870 census as age 72 and Sarah is listed as age 49. With them is a Levi age 19, Margaret age 14, Virginia age 8 and Joseph age 6. All four show listed as Van Sickles. They are in Shelbyport Dist 2. On the 1880 census, Sarah is listed as Sarah Burk with her son Joseph and they are living with her daughter Margaret and her husband Jesse Fike. My question is, why are Levi, Margaret, Virginia and Joseph listed as VanSickles and then Burk? Also, where are the children from the 1860 census? Who did they marry and where did they go? Your help is appreciated.
