Any information on the Folk, Durst and Patton families from Negro Mountain - and music they played in the church. My Husband is turning 60 in April and this is going to be his birthday present a trip back to Nego Mountain so we can look up some family history. Sara Patton, Joseph Patton a minister who may have lived in Salisbury. They had a daughter Emma who married a John Lester Folk and moved to Ohio sometime after they married. We are only going from what my husband remembers hearing as a child. My husband has a black violin made by Louis Lowendall that was played in a church from this area from the 1800 's.
