Hi I saw your old post from 2005 on ancestry.com talking about your Thompson ancestors living in the Clarksburg area in the late 1700’s early 1800’s . well my name is James Thompson and I’m a direct descendant of Moses Thompson of the Clarksburg area circa 1790/1800. Have you run across Moses in any of your research ? I’m pretty sure Moses was living in the area with other Thompson’s at that time. There are several Thompsons on the same census page.
