I am attempting to join DAR through my direct line to William Bishop Lamar. I need to prove marriage records for his son, Mareen Tyler Lamar and Rebecca Jane Rice. According to records left to me by my father, Carl F. Lamar who died in 1990, Mareen Tyler Lamar (also spelled Marine and maureen) was born in Frederick County Maryland. He traveled to Kentucky where he purchased land in Hancock County. The notes say he returned to Maryland to marry Rebecca Jane Rice on January 15, 1815, the moved with her to Hancock County, Kentucky. I need to prove their marriage. Does anyone have record of their marriage. I only know it was in Maryland, but not sure exactly where.
