Hi, I just read about your Davis & Watson. I had a ggrandfather Cornelius Porter Watson who would probably be too young for your Cornelius Watson but could have been named after yours. We also had a Mary Ann that was married to one of my ggg's but no one ever knew their name and it was thought that they were divorced. Have you checked out Morgan and Magoffin counties in KY. There were alot of Watson's there especially in Morgan county first. My gg-grandfather was Michael A. Watson. He married a Ratliff. His father was Tenyon Watson (but this could have been a misprint because I can't find him after the Morgan census. He could have been Henry (that sort of resembles the handwriting?) They were to have come to KY from VA. but I think before that it was MD. If you have any info on this Michael A. Watson b. 1832 VA and his father Tenyon (Henry/Terry) Watson b. abt. 1805 VA. please let me know. Some of the other names were Richard, Lucy, James, Leburn, Arzelia, etc.) Any info would be much appreciated!
Also, Davis' were in Morgan county and I am related to them on the other side.
