I know it's confusing, but there are more than one Harriett Ray. One is Harriett Ray where Ray is the last name; another is Harriett Ray Watson, named after an aunt and the third Harriett who married a Ray. It's possible they were both named after the same relative. The Rays and Watsons had traveled together and intermarried. I tend to agree my Cornelius is a sibling or twin of Martha A. Watson HAIL. However, I have no documentation other than the census and speculation. The families and dates all line up however. If that is true, their mother is Elizabeth ? Watson, b. 1790 in Md. I would be interested in what happened to George b. 1850 in Mo. My Watsons had relatives in California at the turn of the century (1899 and after). Have you checked in Oklahoma Territory for him and family? Or Missouri? There's so many George Watsons, but the birthdate fits. Cornelius was married twice, and George was a son with the first wife. I've not been able to determine the first wife's last name. We descend from his second wife. He had 2 sons prior with first wife; 5 siblings with my line, and his widow married and had 2 more children, who would have been half-siblings to the other 7. See, confusing.
