Ignatius and his wife Susanna Shanks (d. 1823), daughter of John Shanks (d. 1793) of St Mary's Co, MD, settled on Hardins Creek in present-day Marion Co, KY. I am descended from Ignatius and Susanna's son James Newton (ca. 1793-1873) of Loretto Precinct, Marion Co, KY.
