My great-grandfather Thomas Joseph Thompson born 1867 in Front Royal, Virginia. Son of Joseph Savier Thompson born 1839 Baltimore, MD. Wife Sarah Forsyth of Warren County, VA.

Joseph Savier Thompson born 1839 Baltimore died 1911 Cincinnati, OH. His parent's : George M. Thompson born 1805-1815 Maryland. He married 1831 to Laura Virginia Savier of Norfolk, VA.

George M. Thompson was serving in the US Navy at the time of his wedding 1831. He and his wife lived in Baltimore and raised 3 children:
Edward B. Thompson 1832-1890
Ann Elizabeth Thompson 1834-1905
Joseph Savier Thompson 1839-1911

George and Laura owned a lumber yard in Baltimore.
George M. Thompson had a brother Charles. i beleive that Charles Thompson married Susan Bromwell of Baltimore?

I've reciently been told by a Thompson researcher that:The names George, Charles plus the location of St. Mary's County, Maryland would most likely be the line of George Thompson and Robert Thompson, this is something I'll have to reseach futher. Would you have any information of this George and Robert thompson line of St. Mary's county?
