James E. Kirby (1820-8/1/1897) married Sarah Catherine Biscoe, not Briscoe (1816-3/26/1885). He was the son of Cornelius Kirby (1790-6/22/1858) and Elizabeth Carpenter who were married in Baltimore Co., MD 11/9/1812 or 11/12/1812 (two dates are given, the first may be a license date). Sarah Catherine Biscoe was the daughter of Richard Biscoe (1772-1830) and his first wife, Eleanor Clarke (8/12/1773-1820).
