I show Samuel Todd, born before 1809, as the son of Samuel Todd and Jane Lowry. He married Monica Fenwick (sometimes written as "Monarcha" or "Monarchy"), born between 1774 & 1809, daughter of William Fenwick and Katherine "Unknown". Marriage took place about January 18, 1824, in Franklin County, KY.

William Fenwick was born about Dec. 30 1759, in Leonardtown St. Mary's Co. MD. He & Katherine had 5 children: Monica, Ellen (who married a Lancaster), Frances C. (who married John Holton), Lewis B. (who married Monica Holton), and Ann.

Per Margaret Fresco's Book "Marriages & Deaths in St. Mary's Co. 1634-1900": William Fenwick, Pension Application #S16381 "for Maryland Sea Service in Franklin Co., KY. States he was born in St. M.Co., MD 1757 & living there while in service & in 1790 moved to Franklin Co. KY On 1/3/1833, he appeared in Court, res. of Franklin Co., KY, age 74. He enlisted under Capt. Allen Thomas. In 1776 was stationed at Leonardtown, St. M. Co. & remained there 6 mo. when at the interference of his parents he was got off from service by their procuring a man to be enlisted for life term in his place ...Knows of no one who can testify of his service except Catherine Holton. Affidavit of Bennett Greenwell, 75, on 1/9/1833 says he has known Wm. Fenwick since infancy, that they were in Rev. War together under Capt. Thomas Greenwell, militia ofcr in Md., Ref. Md Soldiers in KY ..." •William Fenwick is listed in 1795 Franklin Co. Tax records with Robert Fenwick.

William was the son of John Fenwick & Monica Ford. John Fenwick was the son of Enoch Fenwick and "Unknown". John was the son of Richard Fenwick & "Unknown" Brent. Richard was the son of Cuthbert & Jane Eltonhead.
