Richard Vowels (b. ca. 1665 in MD, d. B/T 4 Apr 1722 and 22 Apr 1724, St. Mary's, MD). He married Margaret Ford (b. B/T 1660 and 1671) and one of their children was:

Matthew Vowels (b. ca. 1704, St. Mary's, MD, d. before 5 Mar, 1734, St. Mary's, MD). He married Ann Maddox (b. 1700 in Chaptico, MD, d. 22 Sept. 1755, St. Mary's, MD) and one of their children was:

Cyrus Vowels (b. ca 1730 in St. Mary's County, MD, d. before 16 Dec 1777, SMC, MD). He married Victoria ? (b. B/T 1718 and 1742, d. ca. 1794) and one of their children was:

Matthew Vowels (B. 27 May 1762 in SMC, MD, d. 11 Mar, 1792, Nelson County, KY). He married Ann Cole (b. B/T 1750 and 1770, d. before 1800) and one of their children was:

Henry Vowels (b. 6 Jun 1787 in SMC, MD, d. ca 1826 (before 3 Oct), Washington Co., KY). He married Priscilla Willett Price (b. 20 Mar 1792, Prince George's County, MD, d. 1851 in Nelson County, KY). They were married January 2nd, 1811 in St. Andrew's Church, Nelson County, KY. One of their children was:

Matthew Vowels (b. 26 Jul, 1814, Nelson County, KY, d. 26 Nov, 1879, Marion County, KY). He married Mary Jane Moore (b. 1816, d. 1880). They're buried in St. Augustine's catholic Cemetery, Lebanon, KY. One of their children was:

Melissa Jane Vowels (b. 29 Feb, 1852, Raywick, KY, d. 6 Oct. 1937, Lebanon, KY). She married Henry Humkey (b. Germany, can't seem to find his b./d. dates at the moment). One of their children was:

Walter Bernard Humkey (b. apr. 22, 1872, Lebanon, KY, d. Jan 12, 1950, Lebanon). He married Hayes Osborn (b. Jan 10th, 1887, New Hope, KY, d. Dec 10, 1956, Lebanon, KY).

One of their children, Joseph Raymond Humkey, was my grandfather.

Melissa Jane Vowels (b. 29 feb. 1852 d. 6 oct 1937) married Henry Humkey
