The Stones tended to reuse first names. It is tricky to distinguish between generations. Poynten Manor (?) was the ancestral home for several generations of Stones in Charles county, MD. They may have also rented land on the proprietor's "manors" throughout Maryland. There were six of these manors in St Mary's county.
They National Park Service runs the site. NPS had a genealogy of Thomas Stone, "The Signer" back to Gov. William Stone.
