The closest match for Delphine in 1880 was in Patuxent, Charles Co., MD, CANTER: Robert, 67; ch. Luke, 27; Ellen, 25; Delphenia, 23. That must be close to the right age because in 1860, Charles Co., there were CANTER, Robert, 46; Elizabeth, 9; Lewis, 8; Ellen, 7; Delphina, 5. This does explain why the last child was born in 1894, when the mother was nearing 40.
