I'm hoping someone out there can help me get thru what has become a brick wall. My gg grandfather, Thomas HILL, joined the KY militia in Washington County, KY in 1814 and married Theressa McAtee Brown, the widow of Charles Brown, 17 November 1816, in Washington County, KY. According to various census reports, he was born in MD abt 1794-1796. I would appreciate any help in identifying the parents and/or when and how he arrived in KY. I have been led to believe he came from St. Mary's county. Thanks in advance.
