I am searching for information about Capt. James Walker who was in the 45th Reg., Maryland Militia of the War of 1812. It is said he reported to duty under Lt. Col. Henry Ashton Apr. 11, 1813 and served five times, ending in July of 1814. He went to White Co. AR before 1837 and became a large landowner in that county. His wife was Mary Mariah. I do not know if she were from MD or not. I would like to exchange information with anyone working on this James Walker. I need to prove the above information. It may be that he had a brother-in-law named John Cook. Thanks.
