Robert Mosley was born between 1710 and 1714. He was the son of Robert Mosley and his first wife, Barbara Sisson.

Barbara Sisson was the daughter of Edward Sisson and his wife, Alice (widow of William Tannehill) and widow of Richard Shoobottom.

7/23/1709: Admin. Accts. of Richard Shoobottom by Barbara Mosley, wife of Richard Mosley (Skinner).

4/27/1718: Samuell Johnson, Barbara Mosley, and John Hammond wit. the will of Thomas Woodward, Poplar Hill 100, SMC.

Barbara (Sisson) Shoobottom/Mosley died between 1718-1720.

Robert Mosley, Sr. m. second, Margaret Cooke (daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Cooke of Poplar Hill Hundred). After the death of Robert Mosley, Sr., Margaret m. second, Jaffield Bloomfield. No children--his children were all by Barbara Sisson.

2/6/1722: Admin. accts. of Robert Mosley, SMC. Exec: Margaret Bloomfield, wife of Jaffell Bloomfield.

2/6/1726: Admin. accts. of Robert Mosley, SMC. Exec: Margaret Mosley, now wife of Jaffield Bloomfield.

Robert Mosley, Jr. and Barbara Sisson had three children:

Robert III, the one you say died in Prince William Co., VA in 1787.

Elizabeth Mosley who died unmarried and without issue in 1734.

Admin. accts. of Elizabeth Mosely 10/1/1734 and 11/18/1734; appraisers were John Reason, Jr. and George Craighill; next of kin was Ann Sikes and John Shenboton?; Exec., Robert Mosley (Skinner).

11/3/1735: Admin. accts. of Elizabeth Mosley, SMC. Adm: Robert Mosley.

Patience Mosley. No record after her father's will.

Will of Robert Mosley, Poplar Hill, SMC, 12/17/1721-2/6/1721. Son: Robert, tract on Poplar Hill Creek joining on Black Creek. Daughter: Patience, plantation in "Course's Neck" (should be "Coursey's Neck) in St. Jerome's. Daughter: Elizabeth, dwelling plantation. Lands afsd. not to be sold. If either child dies without issue, survivors to inherit. Children not to leave their mother-in-law (girls at 16 and boys at 18). Residue of plantation that was Carwardine's, to go toward schooling of son Robert. Exec: Wife, Margaret. Wit: John Russell, Ann Deavey, Thomas Campbell, Katherine Cohee. (Maryland Calendar of Wills).

If you have the 1787 will of Robert Mosley, I'd appreciate it if you would post it.

Thank you.
