He registered for the WWI Draft on 12th September, 1918 when he stated that he was a Vice President of the Auto Betterment Corp. located at 55-57 Lafayette Street in Newark, New Jersey. As to why he would register for the WWII draft aged 61, I can only suppose he was being patriotic and felt he could do something to help.
His Chevy Chase address was definitely in MD. He and his wife had no children. He died in 1953.
