Hattie E. Muller

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Hattie E. Hankey Muller, 77, of 2865 East Oakwood Drive, Avon Park, Fla., formerly of Great Barrington, died Wednesday, at Florida Heartland Hospital.

Born in Sheffield on May 10, 1922, daughter of Harry and Florence Bounds Davis, she attended local schools.

Mrs. Muller was employed by Bicron Manufacturing Co. in Canaan, Conn., as an assembler until her retirement in 1978.

She enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Her first husband, Irving Hankey, died Dec. 7, 1982. Her second husband, Theodore C. Muller Sr. died April 10, 1997.

She leaves three daughters, Wanda Mae Quenneville of Canaan, Conn., V. Patricia Keefner of Great Barrington and Shirley Ann Packard of Lyndonville, Vt.; two stepsons, Theodore C. Muller Jr. of Fulton, N.Y., and John R. Muller of Sheffield; a stepdaughter, Bernadette A. Daniels of Great Barrington; three brothers, Valentine Davis of Great Barrington, and Harold Davis and Donald Davis, both of Mill River; four sisters, Inez Granger and Joyce Hankey, both of Mill River, Dorothy Rham of Lakewood, Colo., and Elaine McDonald of California; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services for Hattie E. Davis Hankey Muller will be tomorrow at 11 in Elmwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles VanAusdall of First Congregational Church of Great Barrington officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Southern Berkshire in care of HICKEY-BIRCHES FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
