Through more research, I have come across from an old Monroe county NY.news paper index, the marriage announcement of a Warren Smith and Susan Scott married in 1836. I was not able to find out anything more on Warren, at this time but, I have found Susan's Dad to be John Scott from NY and Mother, a Sarah (Sally) Beach. She was from CT. Married before to a Abel G Northrop. They came to a town Perinton with children. Abel died soon after and she marries John Scott who was a land surveyor there, coming from another city in Ny, before coming to Perinton in 1796. I have found the will index of Sally and Susan Scott, as well as a son John Scott along with a few Northrop's, are mentioned. Susan with a few others are living in Michigan. This was written before Sally dies in Perinton in 1864. I contacted Perinton historical museum director who said they did have a John Scott in Fairport as well if you read the history of Perinton ion the Webb site. Anyone have anything on this to help? I am trying to tract down the old newspaper, I believe it is the Rochester daily, democrat and see if I can get an issue, with the announcement.. Maybe it will give more on Warren and his parents. Anyone near a new York Library who can check out the paper?
