Hello John. After I contacted Samantha, I forgot to check if anyone else wanted info. until now, and this just by accident. My brother and I were there in 1945 also. I was only seven, so I was on the moyens side until I think it was 10. My brother is 20 months older than I and went to the Grands sooner. I do remember all of the Mother's names that you mentioned, and also Ste. Courra, the little nun that we called Carrot. Also Ste. Benitier, I don't think that my spelling is accurate on the names. I spent one year on the Grands when my brother turned 13, then those who had parents had to leave. My memories of the orphange are not very pleasant. When we went back at the closing of the school for an old folks home, this is what they told us it would be, we were escorted through the entire building by a young nun. After we had told her about our experiences at the school, we were with three others who went there, she appologised for the way the nuns from Canada, known as the Gray Nuns, treated us and that they could not get away with it today. I will get in touch my brother to see if he remembers any of the names that you refer to. I hope that life has been good to you. Ren
