Hi Rosie: If you are still looking for Sylvanus, I think I can help...and you may very well be a distant cousin. Rev. Sylvanus Griswold was pastor of the Feeding Hills Congregational Church on North Westfield St in Feeding Hills, which is a part of Agawam, Ma. Agawam was formerly a parish of West Springfield. I have an account of his arrival here written by my Grandfather, Nelson Gilbert King. We are married into the Griswold line as my 3rd Great Grandfather, Gilbert Nelson King, was married to Chloe Griswold (daughter of Abe Griswold of Windsor, CT and Deidama Easton) and one of his sons, John Nelson King was married to Eunice C. Griswold. Gilbert was born in Suffield Ct 2/29/1796 and resided, with a brief period in Indiana, in West Springfield. John Nelson King (known as Nelson) resided in Blandford, Ma and is buried there. I have a deed from Sylvanus, too, although it will take me a bit to lay my hands on it, and the account my Grandfather wrote.
