The New England Historical and Genealogical Register Volume CXLIII, January 1989, Number 569, Genealogical Notes, pg. 24, contains a brief article titled, "Possible English Origin of Henry Prentice of Cambridge, Massachusetts." This article was contributed by John Brooks Threlfall, of Madison, Wisconsin.
Threlfall considers the possibility that Henry Prentice may be the Henry Prentice who married Elizabeth White at Stewkley, Buckinghamshire, England on 26 Nov. 1638. Recent research by Ian Prentice indicates that Henry Prentice and Elizabeth White had two daughters: (1) Ann Prentice, baptised 1639 and (2)Elizabeth Prentice, baptised 1640.
If Henry and Elizabeth were already in Cambridge by 1639 or earlier, that would seem to rule this couple out. I would surely appreciate any documented reference to Henry Prentice of Cambridge in the year 1639 or earlier.
