Hi Tina,

Thank you very much.....always good to know that you are going down the right "path" - unfortunately, I think, this one is going to hit a dead end pretty soon.

According to a Thorne researcher, Annie died in 1913 (I did find her death record on the pilot.familysearch.org website (Mass. Death Records) and had 12 kids. I located Annie and Ambrose Frederick Smith in the 1910 census (North Reading) and the census had 8 of the children listed. I found the death record for the youngest one (Gertrude M. died Dec. 18, 1910 - living on North Vernon St., North Reading - place of burial, Riverside, North Reading) on the same death record site. Checking the 1920 census did not bring up much info - I did find a possible match for the youngest son, Ambrose, who would have been 2 in the 1910 census. There is an Ambrose Smith who is 12 years old, listed as a boarder in Dunstable. His parents birth place is listed as unknown. If this is the same Ambrose, I have a feeling that the family was split up.

Probably can't hurt to list the children names here - just in case someone should stumble upon this thread and might be able to add a little more info.

1910 Census - North Reading:
Frederick A. Smith (age 35)
Annie Smith (age 35)
Katherine W. Smith (age 12)
George F. Smith (age 11)
Charles E. Smith (age 9)
John H. Smith (age 8)
Annie M. Smith (age 7)
Lillian (age 4)
Ambrose (age 2)
Gertrude M. (age 1)

All children are listed as born in Mass. except Annie M. She is listed as born in Canada (no luck finding her listed in New Brunswick - the birth place of her mother). There probably was 3 more children born (if the info I received was correct) after the 1910 census but before Annie passed away (April 21, 1913).

Not sure if my rambling makes much sense.....

Regards and thanks again,
Jerry
