Many posts here of long ago. I have recently found John P. Larkin was the son of Lyman Beecher Larkin born 1804 Marlborough, Mass. and died 1883 in New York having been a physician. He married Jemima Richardson 1st and she was the mother of John P. They lived in Wrentham, MA, but mother died and father moved several times and remarried. John P. was in Northboro when he enlisted. Lyman B. Larkin was the son of John Larkin and Hepzibah Barnes, I do not know if they married or not. Marlborough records give Lyman Larkin to be the son of Hepsibah Barnes, so which John and what happened to him is unknown. The only one that I found as Hepzibah Barnes married in 1809 to John Bigelow so she could have been the same one, daughter of Lovell or Lowell Barnes. At any rate John P. Larkin's grave was the one that was found and thought to be the grave of Phillip Larkin bc 1700 Ireland and died 1754. Records show him to still be in Berlin/Lancaster, Mass. when he died as administrator of his eldest sons probate.
