ROBERT O. BANNAT and HARRIET ANN ADELIA BANNAT were involved in an accident/disaster late Oct or early Nov 1894, probably in Allegan County. Do not know HARRIET's maiden name but was born in Ohio abt 1863. She was killed immediately and ROBERT was so critically injured their four children were adopted. ROSA on Nov 15 1894, age 3. HARRIET age 6 and GRACE age 11 adopted Dec 24, 1894. EDWARD "EDDY" age 5 was sent to the Coldwater State School and adopted Mar 06/1900 through Lake County Probate Court. I have good info on the children's adoptions, marriages and families but hoping to find the nature and exact date of the disaster which occured and the Mother, HARRIET ANN ADELIA's birth name.
