I am looking for any naturalization papers about my ancestor Andrew Erickson, born abt 1844 Dalsland, Sweden; died 19 May 1927 Baraga, MI. He arrived in the USA in 1872 or 1873. He owned Homestead land in Baraga, MI (received land on 11/20/1884 and 2/12/1892). I thought if he was a homesteader it might be likely he became a citizen? However, Baraga Court cannot find any naturalization papers for him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
