Passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. Gunther was born October 5, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved to the Delton area 17 years ago after retiring from being a District Transportation Office Manager for the State of Michigan. Gunther was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. Gunther was an active member of the Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge where he had served as past Worshipful Master. He was married to the former Shirley Pfouts for over 50 years, who survives. He is also survived by his son, Noel (Sharon) Todter and two granddaughters, Erika and Rachel Todter. Visitation for Gunther will be on Friday, May 8, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton where funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 AM by the Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge. Private interment will take place at a later date in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge Memorial Fund.
