Searching for any information on the parents or siblings of Charles H. Swartout.

Charles was born on Nov 30, 1833 in Ithica, Tompkins County NY. By 1850 he had shown up on the Barry County Census in Prairieville.

Dec 23, 1853 he Married Lucy Ann Peters. They were married in Waltham, Eaton County, MI at the home of Lucy's sister Mary Peters Robinson (and Mary's husband Eliju). They had the following children: Charles A., William A., Edwin A., Arthur E. Inez, Mary Estella, Freddie Ashley, Eliza Jane.

In the late 1870's the family migrated to Emmet county. Charles died on Nov 13, 1887. Lucy died on April 1, 1899.

Charles was in he 8th MI Infantry in companies H, F and K.
