I have come across a land abstract that has many names listed. I am NOT related. I will try to list as much as I can here, but may need to finish later. The property is in Berrien county, likely Benton Harbor area, and is referred to as Dunham Acres and seems to have a lot of Dunham family named.
6/3/1831, from US government to Julius Brown
5/28/1834 from Julius and Elethea Brown to Junius H. Hatch.
11/15/1849 John Witherell bought land for taxes owed.
6/1/1850 Above estate: land to James Witherell, and some to Patience Lorena Witherell.
7/22/1852 Land sold for taxes to John W. Hoag.
7/1/1854 John W. Hoag and wife Avis T., sold to Timothy W. Dunham
4/5/1864 Timothy W. Dunham and wife Catherine, filed warranty deed with James R. Dunham.
11/10/1876 Quit claim deed, James Witherell, William S. Witherell heirs & only heirs, Lydia Witherell widow of John, deceased, to James R. Dunham.
7/26/1892 Probate court, Catherine Dunham deceased, petition filed by J.R. Dunham, son, says she died 1/12/1892 and left named heirs: James R. Dunham son, Timothy W. Dunham husband, Alfonso N. Quint grandson, Lilly Quint and Violet Quint granddaughters, asks for appointment of Enos W. Dunham as administrator.
11/7/1892 Land sold from James R. Dunham and Ann Dunham to Newton Vandeveer.
12/9/1895 Probate-Jane E. Van Der Veer filed a petition for administrator for estate of Newton Vanderveer...heirs are Jane E. Van DerVeer widow, Fannie VanderVeer and Grace Canavan daughters, and Jennie Van Der Veer daughter.
10/15/1892 Deed from A.N. Quint, Violet Quint, Lillie M. Sebring (formerly Quint) to James R. Dunham.
There is more on the Dunhams going into the 1900's. Looks like the property got caught up in lawsuits. Hope something here can help someone.
