I appreciate your response. I have all the information you listed. As to Pearl, I was assuming the surmane White was a mistake since she was listed as daughter and not stepdaughter on the 1880 census and all the birth city information matches her brother.
I wonder if Mary Pelle was deceased before the 1880 census as she is not listed.
