Florence J. Grucza
ALBION- Florence J. Grucza of Albion died Sunday at home after a long illness.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Albion in 1950 from Ashtabula, Ohio. She was employed by the Richmond Brothers in Ohio. She as employed by the former Sheldon Memorial Hospital and later as executive housekeeper for Albion Community Hospitals, retiring after 17 years of service.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, and enjoyed reading and music.
Her husband, John F. Grucza Jr., died in 1959. She also was preceded in death by daughters, Margaret Shelley and Christine Pesch.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Walsh of Albion; a son, John F. Grucza III of Manassas, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Catholic Church. Memorial donations may go to the church, Good Samaritan Hospice Care Inc., or the Hospital Service League nursing program. Arrangements are by Albion Chapel, Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels.
