Dorcus HOWARD CADY is my 3rd Great-Grand Aunt. She was the daughter of Abraham Howard b. abt 1810 in Candada and Elizabeth HEWLETT b. abt 1813 in New York. Her siblings were Eben(male) b. abt 1833 in NY, Rachel b. abt 1935 in NY, John, b. 3 January 1836 in Union City, Pennsylvania, Dorcas b. abt 1839 in Ohio, Henry b. abt 1842 in Ohio, Albert J. b. abt 1847 in Michigan, and Alma (female) b. abt 1849 in Michigan.

Eben married Elizabeth RYAN and died 30 July 1864, Petersburg, Virginia.

John married Mina PARROTT and died 3 Oct 1919 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dorcas married Jerome B CADY and died in 1900.

Albert J. (who is my 3rd Great-Grandfather) married Elizabeth A. SMITH on 15 Feb 1874 in Charlevoix County, MI.

Alma married George CADY.

Jerome and George CADY were brothers. Their parents were Michael CADY and Sarah GEORGE. Jerome b. 1836 in Pennsylvania, d. 12 May 1918 in Leslie Twp., Michigan. George b. 1832 in Pennsylvaina, d. 2 Nov 1903 in Evangeline Twp., Charlevoix Co., Michigan. Michael and Sarah had 4 other children, Sarah M., Serenna, Eliza Jane, and Michael.
