Andrew J. BLACKBIRD wrote a History of the Ottawa and Chippewa Indians (I think that is the title) in which he mentions his family. It goes something like this:
1. Pun-Go-Wish (Ottawa/Odawa war leader)=unknown
2. Kishe-Kau-Ko, chief=unknown
3. Mack-E-Te-Pe-Nessy aka Blackbird, Sr., b. c.1763 = ____ SHAWBENEE
4. Andrew/Amable J. BLACKBIRD, b. c.1818 (had four other known siblings), d. 7 Sept 1908, aka Pe-Ness-Wi-Qua=Elizabeth Martha FISH, b. c.1830/40 ENG, d. 10 Jun 1920 Harbor Springs, Emmet Co., MI. Had four children that I know of: William, Fred, Nettie, & Bert.
