Am trying to find my grandmother Ruth Elizabeth Snider Burkhart's birth parents. She was born 27 May 1920 and adopted by David and Elizabeth Snider in emmet county abt 1920. My grandmother married Jonas B. Burkhart and they resided on Woodland Road in Pellston/Brutus. Her birth mother may have been from a Taylor family in Pellston Michigan. The Taylor daughter, that may be her mother, is shown in the Mckinley census in the Taylor family but has the last name of Wilson. Which is possible she was also adopted. Her name was Cornelia(Cora, Ora). Ora(as shown on her obituary) was born in Emmet County, abt 11 jun 1902 and resided in Pellston and went to school there. She would have been just shy of 18 when she had my grandmother.

Ora married an Alfred Donnelly on 14 Jan 1922 in Petoskey Michigan. They had 4 children, Helen(Michael)Adams of Petoskey , Veronica b abt 1928(Carl)Oxley of Cheboygan, Robert of Petoskey, and Sgt, Albert b 20 nov 1926 d 8 Jun 1970. Ora is buried in Greenwood Cemetary in Petoskey.

She had a 1/2 brother Ralph R. Taylor b abt 1902 of Pellston, and Hattie Geary of Detroit. If anyone has information regarding this I would love to hear from you.
