Thank you so much for your reply. I had found the marriage record you referenced just the day before your reply but wasn't quite sure. All the pieces fit and am pretty sure this is the same William.

Is he a member of your family tree? He was actually my brother-in-law's great grandfather. The story goes that he may have left Michigan but have been unable to find out where he may have gone with his new wife. Are anxious to fill in the pieces of the puzzle and anything further you could suggest would be most appreciated.
