NICKELSON, Maurice R. 110 Center St., Clio, Mich., aged 74, died Sunday, March 7, 1982, at Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, March 11, 1982, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Msgr. Walter W. Mehm officiating. Burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cadillac, Mich. Mr. Nickelson will remain at the Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Wednesday. Suggested visitation 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Friends may call after 7 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contribution to the Rotary Crippled Children’s Fund. Mr. Nickelson was born in Cadillac, Mich., February 3, 1908 and had been a resident of Flint and vicinity since 1928. He was past president of the Clio Rotary Club and received the Rotarian Citizen of the year Placque in 1968, also very active in civic affairs. He owned and operated a service station on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Mason St. for many years. During those years he began restoring antique autos and continued to do this until present . He moved to Clio and owned and operated the Clio Screw Products Co, until he retired and sold his business in 1978. Surviving are: 3 sisters, twin sisters, Mrs. Victor (Viola) Boyle, Ellen Nickelson and Mrs. Lowell (Mildred) Griffis, all of Flint; 2 step-sisters, Mrs. E. (Marge) Eichhorn of Flint and Mrs. Don (Elsaleta) DeBra of Atlanta, Ga.; step-brother, Ferris Hamel of Flint; several nieces and nephews. Daily visitation 8 AM to 10 PM.
