Thank you for getting back with me on this matter. I checked out the Index you gave me and found the name of seven members of the same family I am interested listed in it. The person who died in 1943 that you mention was Karoline Tanya Krahner and she died Dec 21 1943. Also listed were her husband Julius (March 29, 1939), Sons Gottlieb (October 22, 1961) his wife Lydia (January 28, 1994), Emil (April 7, 1982)his wife Florence (Mary 12, 1996) and Grandson Keith Emil (May 18 1984). Any of the names I have listed I would be interested in their obituaries, but Karoline is the one I am intersted in the most. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Craig

I was born Marina Diffin in Greenock, Scotland. There are many Diffins still living in Greenock and surounding area. I go back to Scotland every other year and spend time with the Diffin clan of which there are many.
My dad was Archibald Diffin, his dad was Simon Diffin and as far as I know all born in Greenock, Scotland. There are several Diffin Cousins in the United States.

Cheers Marina

Dear Karen,

There seems to be no Obituary for a Thomas Muma Sr., (died 1901) in the Gladwin County Record at all. Only one for Thomas Corey Muma in 1928. Second regarding Percy Muma? Once again no obituary for him only this brief writeup below:

Mr. and Mrs. Parker Weaver and daughter Betty visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Charles Weaver and also called on Percy Muma who is in poor health. GCG 6-6/1944.

Re: Nancy Muma Weaver obituary. You can find her obituary on Findagrave memorial I.D. 67705162 and also Alexander Muma Obituary on Findagrave memorial I.D. 40682162. Hope this helps you...

I didn't post it on my public tree yet though. My tree is "Family Tree for Harvey and Rogers" if anyone would like to look at Sarah's profile and add any stories or comments you are all welcome to.
When I was a little girl my family used to go up to visit my Aunt Dorothy Hall Whitney and her family at this 2 story farm house built of stones.
It was the house my dad Elmer Hall grew up in with his family during 1920's.
Later I learn it was Edwin and Catherine Demaray's house at one time and then when they died it became their son Duncan Demaray's house.I read the house is on Swanstra Rd in.Gladwin,Mich
The last I heard you can't see the house from the road any more because of the pine trees,
I wonder about that house what it looks like today, the history of it.If there are any Demarays or Halls that still live near by.

My husband's G Grandfather James Madison Winn (1872-1955) & G Grandmother Mary Jane Robinson (1867- 1950) had a son George William (1893-1979). They all lived in Delaware Co.,OH., then came to Gladwin, MI. I have pics of both, and 1880-1920 censuses. He appears in the 1900 Census with mom & dad as a 7 year old. Names are misspelled as "Wynne". George ended up in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI.
Hi Deanne Malcho (Davidson) -- Thank you for contacting me.

I have quite a lot of my MALCHO MALCHOW information online within my "BLATCHFORDs of Somerset Co, England" family tree. If you can access this tree on my Ancestry ID ghinessk, you can check it to see if you recognize any of the MALCHOs I have.

All my MALCHO / MALCHOW people trace their earliest origins in Canada to Ellice Twp, Perth Co, Ontario -- from about 1855 when the family arrived there.

In both the 1861 and 1871 Censuses, their surname was recorded/transcribed as MALGO. This might help you in your search.

Regards, Gord

Dear Hazel,
Thanks for your message. My original posting was put on about 6 years ago. My son, Mark Diffin, is a bit more grown up now, so I am leaving it to him to follow the 'Diffin Trail' if he wishes. I will pass on your message and he can contact you if he's interested.
Thanks for responding - if you have any questions concerning his family, please just write to me and I will pass that on, no problem.
Regards, Jonny
Jonny Krause
Foulden,
Berwickshire,
Scotland.
